82PRELIMINARY PHYTOCHEMICAL SCREENING OF BARK OF MADHUCA INDICAObjective to examine the phytochemicals present in the bark of Madhuca indica. Phytochemical screening of the bark was done to determine the secondary metabolites in various solvents studied. The phytochemical study on the bark of Madhuca indica proved the presence of phytochemicals such as alkaloids, steroids, triterpenoids, glycosides and saponins.
