<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><Articles><Article><id>55</id><JournalTitle>OPTIMIZATION OF MOBILE PHASE BY SIMPLEX METHOD WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO GUGGULU (COMMIPHORA WIGHTII)</JournalTitle><Abstract>A simplex is a geometric figure defined by a number of points equal to one more than the number of factors. If
simplex is carried out using two factors then it would give a triangle and three factors are used then resultant will be a
tetrahedron. Two factors are used so the resultant will be a triangle. This method is clearly based upon the acceptance and
rejection criteria in which the point showing best response is accepted and the point showing worst response is rejected. The
triangle is flipped at the point of rejection such that a new triangle is formed which would be the mirror image of the previous
one. Likewise the method is repeated until the best results are obtained. The present study was aimed to design a optimized
solvent system for Guggulu (COMMIPHORA WIGHTII). For this the solvent system mentioned in available reference was
used initially and then it was subjected for simplex method to get optimized system. Chromatography fingerprint mainly
