Argyreia imbricata extracts (Roth). The Argyreia imbricata dried plant components were extracted with methanol using the
Soxhlet technique. The extracts were tested for phytochemicals, pH, homogeneity, spreadability, tube extrudability, stability,
and antibacterial activity before being used to make ointment. Escherichia coli and S. aureus were used to test the
manufactured ointments' efficacy, and well-plate techniques were used to test the in vitro antibacterial activity of ointments
made from plant extracts. By contrasting the findings of the zone of inhibition of the conventional ointments, the most effective
ointments were identified (Ciprofloxacin). Both Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli have showed good action against prepared
formulations, and it was discovered that the F1&F2 formulation of Argyreia imbricata ointments was exhibiting a greater zone
of inhibition than the normal. It can also be used as a potential dosage form for clinical applications. The outcomes support the
plant's usage in traditional medicine
<Email>seba.pharm@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>12</volume><issue>2</issue><year>2022</year><keyword>Argyrei imbricata,Staphylococcus aureus,Escherichia</keyword><AUTHORS>V.Sebastin,Chaithanya A P,Deepika Pradeep, Deeshma.K,Fathimath Shaima, Noyal Shaji.E</AUTHORS><afflication>Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Malik Deenar College of Pharmacy, Kasaragod-671321, Kerala, India,Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Malik Deenar College of Pharmacy, Kasaragod-671321, Kerala, India,Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Malik Deenar College of Pharmacy, Kasaragod-671321, Kerala, India,Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Malik Deenar College of Pharmacy, Kasaragod-671321, Kerala, India,Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Malik Deenar College of Pharmacy, Kasaragod-671321, Kerala, India</afflication></Article></Articles>
